Partner Project of the St. Petersburg PRO ARTE Foundation for Culture and Arts (Russia), CUMULUS International Association of Universities and Colleges of Art, Design and Media (Finland) and Danish Cultural Institute. Supported by the European Union


The project aims to introduce in Russia the best European experiences in the fields of environment friendly architecture and energy-saving building construction, design of public spaces for disabled people and design and architecture for children through a number of activities. There will be study visits of Russian professionals from the North-Western Russia to EU partner countries Finland and Denmark, educational programs for Russian children and students with EU experts and professionals (lectures and workshops) and realization of a number of students’ projects for disabled people in municipal cultural institutions.

Accessibility Audits
Before the workshop teams are working with accessibility audits with the supervision of architect Irina Golovenok in
Sheremetev Palace in St Peterburg
Aalto Library in Wyborg
Philharmonic in Petrozavodsk

Teams are
documenting with video and images and making 
  • interviews with the visitors, 
  • blind visitor(s) and the staff
  • making notes for the final report and concept
